8th Annual Canyon Shoe Drive

In partnership with the MORE (Modular Organic Regenerative Environment) Foundation Group, we will be able to give back to the global community. We are asking for used athletic shoes (ONLY ATHLETIC PLEASE) to fight poverty, hunger and global warming. Donating shoes keeps them out of landfills.

What most people assume is a pretty sculpture of a dolphin is in reality a loose change container. The dolphin is regularly emptied by one of our Canyon volunteers and the money benefits local social service agencies.

Starting in November, the Student Council Officers give the “Green Tennis Shoe” award to the class that has the highest percentage of kids who walk, carpool, bike, or use some other form of “green” transportation to get to school each Friday.

Holiday Food Drive

Holiday Food Drive

At this time of year, food drives are a traditional activity. Students will be invited to bring in non-perishable food items that week. Bins will be available and the food will be collected and distributed by 
Westside Food Bank, a local nonprofit that provides food to 65 Westside nonprofit agencies.
