The instrumental music program is available to all 4th and 5th graders at Canyon. Classes are offered on Tuesdays for experienced players and on Thursdays for beginning players. The program consists of weekly classes of 50 minutes each, starting at 1:35 and will extend after school until 2:25. Students are able to choose from the following instruments: violin, cello, flute, clarinet, alto saxophone and trumpet. No experience is necessary to enroll in the program and the classes are funded by the Booster Club. The only cost for participation in the program is the rental of an instrument, if necessary. Financial assistance is available.
