Nicole's Note: Mar 29th
I hope that everyone enjoyed the spring recess and that you are rejuvenated and ready for the last few months of school. It’s hard to believe that we are so far into the school year already. Time flies when you are having fun!
You may have received a phone message from LAUSD, but I wanted to make sure that you received the following important information.
In April 2012, the Morgan Hill Concerned Parents Association and the Concerned Parent Association (Plaintiffs) filed a lawsuit against the California Department of Education (CDE). The Los Angeles Unified School District is not a party to this litigation. However, the Plaintiffs are subpoenaing student data from the CDE's student database.
Parents can object by printing out, completing, and mailing to the court the "Objection to Disclosure of Student Information and Records Case No. 2:11-CV-03471" form at the CDE's Web site at Objections to Disclosure of Student Records. By clicking on this link you can get information and print out a pdf form that must be sent via regular mail to the court. We can print out a copy of the form for you in the office, but we cannot accept or send the letter for you.
Please let us know if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing everyone back at school tomorrow.
