Canyon Olympics Day · Friday, October 23, 2026
The one day every Canyon kid remembers forever.
On Friday, October 23, our TK through 5th grade students take to the field together, running, cheering and competing alongside their classmates. Olympics Day is one of the biggest things our Canyon families do all year, and it funds PE, art, music, drama and the enrichment that makes Canyon so special.
Every child runs. And this is the one Canyon fundraiser built for the whole family, so grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins anywhere in the country can cheer your child on and be part of the day.
Set up your child’s Olympics page
It takes about two minutes. First sign in, then look for Fundraising Campaigns and click on your child's name. If you have more than one child at Canyon, each one is listed and each one needs a page. Add a photo, write a line in your child’s words, and share it with the people who love watching them grow up.
This year’s guest OLYMPIAN
Miles grew up in the Pacific Palisades and started playing beach volleyball at ten years old with his brother Marcus. At fifteen he became part of the youngest pair ever to reach the main draw of an AVP event. He played at UCLA, and in 2024 he represented the United States at the Paris Olympic Games, finishing fifth in men’s beach volleyball with his partner Andy Benesh.
On October 23 our students get to meet an Olympian who grew up a few miles from this campus and started out right where they are.
How Olympics Day works
Your child gets a page
Every Canyon student has their own Olympics page. Add a photo and a sentence or two, or leave it as it is.
Share it with family
Send the link to grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. They can give from anywhere in the country.
We run together
On October 23 the whole school takes the field, grade by grade, and celebrates what we raised together.
How to set up your child’s page
Every Canyon student already has a page waiting. Setting it up takes about two minutes, and a page with a photo and one line in your child’s own words raises far more than a blank one.
- Sign in and open My Canyon Account. It is under the Account menu at the top of the site, and it works the same way in the Canyon app.
- Scroll to Fundraising Campaigns and click Canyon Olympics Day 2026 with your child’s name on it.
- Click Edit My Canyon Athlete at the top of your child’s page.
- Add a photo. Use Upload participant image. A picture of your child running, playing or grinning works better than a school portrait.
- Check the name. The field called Canyon Athlete name you want to appear on donation screen is what donors see. First name and last initial is plenty.
- Write a line or two in the Personal welcome message box. One sentence in your child’s own voice does the work here. Something like “I’m running for Canyon on October 23 so we can keep art and PE for everybody.”
- Choose your notifications. You can have Canyon email you each time a gift comes in, add a second address so both parents see it, and set the name replies come back to.
- Click Save Changes.
More than one child at Canyon?
Each child has their own page, and each one is listed separately under Fundraising Campaigns. Set them up one at a time so every child has their own photo and their own words.
Sharing your child’s page
Open your child’s page and look for the Share This Page row underneath it. You will see Facebook, Twitter, Email and Copy link.
Copy link is the easiest one on a phone. It puts the address on your clipboard so you can paste it straight into a text message, a WhatsApp group or your own email, which is usually how grandparents end up giving.
Cricket Runs, our morning warm-up
Before the day itself come the Cricket Runs. Gates open at 7:45 a.m., the running goes 15 to 20 minutes and finishes just before the 8:05 bell. Children can join on any date they like, and plenty of them come along just for the company.
- Wednesday, September 30
- Wednesday, October 7
- Monday through Thursday, October 12 to 15
- Monday through Thursday, October 19 to 22
Where every dollar goes
Olympics Day money stays at Canyon and pays for the programs our students touch every week: physical education for every grade, art, music, drama, classroom aides and smaller class sizes.
100% of every dollar raised goes directly to Canyon.
Sponsor Olympics Day
Corporate sponsorship
Local businesses and Canyon parent employers can sponsor the day and be recognized on the field and on our site.
