The Canyon App

The Canyon app puts our school in your pocket. The parent directory, every Canyon email and notification, Canyon News, the calendar, sign-ups and your own account all live in one place, and you log in with the same email and password you use on this website.

The app is free for iPhone and Android. In the store it’s called Membership Toolkit, the platform our Booster Club uses to run canyoncharter.com.

What You Can Do in the App

Save Parents to Your Phone

The directory is where Canyon families find each other for playdates, carpools and birthday invitations. In the app, a name becomes a saved contact on your phone in a few taps.

1. Tap Parent Directory on the home screen or in the menu.
2. Look up a family by name, or browse by grade or class.
3. Open the family’s listing. Tap a phone number to call or text, an email address to write, or a home address to open it in Maps.
4. Save the parent to your phone’s contacts from the listing, and mark the families you reach often as favorites.

The directory is private to logged-in Canyon families. You decide what goes in your own listing under Update Directory Information, and you can change it any time.

Every Canyon Message in One Place

Between the Chronicle, class updates and Booster news, a lot comes home each week. The app keeps it together, and the email you missed on Sunday is a few taps away.

• Messages sits at the top of the app menu and holds the notifications the school and the Booster Club send. If you don’t use the app or you turn notifications off, the same notes reach you by email.
• Past Emails, under My Account, keeps every Chronicle and Booster email sent to your family.
• Message Boards, also under My Account, hold your child’s class and grade boards.
• Canyon News carries short posts from the principal’s weekly Chronicle, one topic each.

Please allow notifications when the app asks. It’s the fastest way time-sensitive school news reaches you.

Your Account on the Go

Open My Account in the app menu for your family’s details, orders and sign-ups.

• My Profile keeps your email, phone and address current. The Chronicle and every Booster email go to the address on this record.
• My Orders & Receipts lists your Annual Giving gifts, Canyon Merch and other purchases, each with its receipt.
• Open Sign-Ups shows the volunteer shifts and events that are taking names right now.

Get Set Up in Two Minutes

1. Download Membership Toolkit from the App Store or Google Play. It’s free and runs on Android phones and on iPhone and iPad with iOS 16 or later.
2. Log in with the same email and password you use on canyoncharter.com. If you’ve forgotten your password, reset it from the website login page first.
3. Choose Canyon Charter Elementary School. If your family belongs to other schools or clubs that use Membership Toolkit, they appear here too, and you can switch between them.
4. Allow notifications when the app asks.

If your family hasn’t registered yet, start with Register Your Family on the website, then log in to the app.

If the app won’t let you log in, or something in your listing looks off, send us a help request or write to info@canyoncharter.com and a Booster volunteer will get back to you. Help & Contact is also in the app menu under School Info. For classroom questions, your child’s teacher is the best first stop.
