Canyon Olympics Day
The one day every Canyon kid remembers forever
Olympics Day is the only event at Canyon that the children run. Literally. Every student from TK through fifth grade takes to the field with their class, running, cheering and competing alongside their classmates.
It is a day built for everyone. Every child runs, and every child finishes!
Olympics Day is also one of Canyon’s biggest fundraisers. Every dollar stays at Canyon and supports PE, art, music, drama, the aides who give our teachers and students extra support, and so much more.
Why our kids love it so much
Ask any Canyon student about Olympics Day and you will hear about the running and the cheering, and then you will hear about the moment their whole class was yelling their name. That is the part that stays with them.
The day is built so that every child gets that moment. Classes run together and finish together, teachers are out there with them, and parent volunteers line the course. For a few hours the entire school is in one place doing one thing, which almost never happens anywhere else in the year.

Olympics Day 2026 is Friday, October 23

This year’s guest OLYMPIAN
Miles grew up in The Pacific Palisades and started playing beach volleyball at ten with his brother Marcus. At fifteen he was part of the youngest pair ever to reach an AVP main draw. He played at UCLA, and at the Paris 2024 Olympics he and his partner Andy Benesh finished fifth in the world.
A local kid who started out right where our students are standing. He will be on the field with them on October 23.
