Canyon Reaches the $80,000 Olympics Day Goal

Canyon families did it. We passed our $80,000 goal for Olympics Day, and we cannot wait to see you all on the field tomorrow.

Thank you to every single person who gave, shared a link or cheered someone on. Here is everything you need for the day.

Please arrive by 7:50 a.m., earlier than a normal morning. Children need time to collect their Olympics Day T-shirt and their prizes and get out onto the field. The assembly begins at 8:15 a.m. with Olympic beach volleyball player Miles Partain, runs start at 8:45 a.m. and go class by class on two tracks, and school dismisses early, at 1:40 p.m. for TK and Kindergarten and 1:45 p.m. for Grades 1 through 5.

Send your child with sunscreen already applied at home, since our staff are not able to put it on at school and the children are outside for most of the morning. They will also need athletic shoes that are closed toe, properly fastened and already broken in, and a full water bottle with their name on it.

We still need hands on the field tomorrow, and even one shift makes a difference.

Classes run in turn through the morning. Find your child’s teacher below and come cheer.

Donations stay open until November 7, so family and friends can still give after tomorrow. Prizes are earned on the total raised on each child’s page: a red, white and blue sweatband for any donation, Olympic-themed sunglasses at $50, an Ice Cube NeeDoh at $100, an exclusive Canyon water bottle at $250, a limited Canyon stuffy at $500, and a special limited-edition prize for the first 20 students to reach $1,000. The first class to reach 100 percent participation wins a pizza party.
