Party Book is a yearlong series of fun and creative parties hosted by Canyon families to raise funds for our beloved music, art and PE programs, as well as to keep class sizes down, provide enrichment classes and facility upgrades.

The Golden Bull, 170 W. Channel Rd, Santa Monica

 

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the parties are unveiled at 7:00 p.m.

Two drinks and appetizers included. Adults only.

$50 per ticket through September 17. Tickets are $60 starting September 18.

Parties are claimed in the room that night, first come, first served, and they fill up fast.

Party Book parties can be big or small, and be just about anything that our Canyon kids and/or parents would enjoy. They come in all shapes and sizes (and prices!) but the money we raise benefits our kids. A party can take place at a venue, at a park, or be a gathering at your home. From Legos to Cocktails, we are open to your party entries! So grab some friends and host something together.

How Party Book Works

Why Go to a Canyon Party Book Party?

• They are great fun! Another excuse to party!
• It is a terrific way to meet other parents outside of traffic duty and outside of your child’s grade.
• It is a wonderful way for your child to make friends outside their class.
• You support the school and, in exchange, get an enjoyable and social experience.

This Year’s Party Lineup

Here is what Canyon families are planning for 2026-27. A few of these still need co-hosts, so if one of them is your kind of night, let the co-chairs know and they will connect you with the group.

• Taco’s and Trivia (adults) – a professional quizmaster leads pub trivia while everyone indulges in tacos. You compete as a team and the topics have something for everyone.
• Workout, Coffee Cart and Breakfast (adults) – a workout class followed by coffee and a healthy breakfast.
• Fitness Party (adults) – a group workout with a venue already in mind.
• Sunset Sail (adults, 8 spots) – meet in Marina del Rey in the afternoon and sail back to the docks by sundown, with a cask of grog and a ration of snacks provided.
• Persian Dinner Experience (adults, 10 spots) – a home-cooked Persian dinner, cocktails and good company.
• Line Dancing Night (adults) – grab your cowboy boots for the Canyon Saloon. A renowned instructor leads lessons for all levels, with on-theme cocktails. Needs co-hosts
• Daughter Dance (all ages, up to 250) – Canyon’s beloved dance at the Santa Monica Carousel, with unlimited carousel rides, a photo booth, an ice cream bar, pizza and salad, and the Westside’s hottest DJ.
• Son Plus 1 Party (all ages) – a classic gym dance with glowing lights, a DJ, games and refreshments at the Rustic Canyon gym.
• The Spooky Kooky 3rd Grade Candy Crawl (families) – costumes, dinner for kids and parents, and treat-bag decorating before everyone heads out to trick-or-treat together.
• 3rd Grade Chrismukkah Cookie Decorating (kids, 15 spots) – cookie decorating and a homemade latke feast, with a coffee and hot chocolate cart.
• Fifth Grade Movie Night (fifth grade) – the yearly theater buyout for our graduating class.
• Grandparents Valentine’s Breakfast at Canyon (kids, 20 spots) – students and grandparents enjoy bagels, doughnuts and a craft on campus. Needs co-hosts
• TK to 2nd Grade Easter Egg Hunt (kids) – a morning of springtime fun with colorful eggs, the Easter Bunny, brunch treats and a wobbly egg and spoon race. Needs co-hosts
• Ice Cream Social with Principal Sheard (kids, 30 spots) – an end-of-day social on campus with games and ice cream with all of the toppings. Needs co-hosts

Past favorites worth reviving include a tequila tasting night, a group in a box seat at a Dodgers or Lakers game, and last year’s Huntrix choreography party.

Dates and ticket prices are confirmed as each party is finalized. Parties are added throughout the year, so check the calendar often.

All ideas are welcome, big or small, formal or casual. If you have something in mind, submit your event details and the Party Book team will take it from there. Turning a regular weekend activity or a special talent into a group event is one of the easiest ways to host.
